HOW TO BEAT THE COVID WINTER BLUES? GO SKI!!
Winter can be tough in Interior Alaska. The daylight waning is often a daunting time in terms of winter preparation and making the transition from wearing regular clothes in summer to having thermal underwear underneath for the next 7 months. It happens so fast.
This year as Covid-19 cases climb and the days get shorter, many of us up here in Fairbanks are looking to activities we can share with our friends and family at a safe distance. Skiing is one of those things and as of two days ago we're off to a great start with 4 inches of great snow!!
Social distancing 6' is conveniently about the distance between skiers following behind each other through the forest.........perfect.
It's a good way to get your heart rate up a little, stay warm, and talk to your friends about how sick of being on Zoom meetings you have all been :)
So go!! Get outside!!
